Ryukin are one of my favorite varieties.  Look for a high back (the ryukin hump).  The body should be almost round from the side view with a triangular head.  Given enough room, they will grow to about nine inches tip-to-tip.

We have several lines including metallic red-and-white ryukin, calico ryukin, short-tail kirin ryukin and a few chocolate ryukin.  Short-tail ryukin are popular in Asia and are more expensive there, but are seldom seen in the US.  The differences go deeper than just the size of the tail.  Short-tail ryukin do not swim as gracefully but are less prone to be aggressive than their long-tail cousins.

All of these goldfish were born on our farm, each one is different and the individual in the photos is the individual you receive.  To order, just send an e-mail to goldfish@raingarden.us and let us know the item number to the left of the photos.  To the right of the photos, you will see a column with the price of the fish.  Farther to the right is a separate column with the shipping cost for one or more fish of that variety and size.  We will confirm the shipping cost when responding to your email.
